He is good technically in the air but is very liable to be horsed out of it by the darker arts, despite his physique. This might actually be fine against the likes of Horgan, but spark trouble against the likes of Harnedy. At least he still has a bit of pace to match the Cork forwards. With that in mind it’ll be interesting to see if Condon or McCarthy is named on the bench…

I’d largely agree. If it was my choice I’d actually have Hickey either midfield or half-forward. However we are where we are.

you need a full back line that’s stable mate. I’d agree anywhere else on the pitch. The full back line should be untouchable if the lads are in form and fit. It’s the one part of the field where it’s absolutely vital that goalie and the 3 backs know what someone else is going to do. You only get that with years
