The best hurling club in the world of all time.
Cal McCarthy. It was a sending off but in fairness it was one of those that looked worse than was intended. High ball dropping, Na P player in front of him, wild pull and caught him in the head - it wasn’t deliberate or malicious imo even if ref was left with no option.
Na P were the better side in extra time but they got a contentious Free with the last puck of normal time to force the extra twenty minutes. It was a 50-50 call. When a team is a point down with time up they normally get such a decision. If it was a draw it would have been play on.
Most enjoyable encounter, was going to be tough on either side to lose it. They’ll be having plenty of battles at senior level in the next few years.
It threatened to boil over between the fans on the sideline on a couple of occasions!
