Were Pats holding back last week for this ? That was some trimming.
No idea pal
They were down three or four I think, fuckers must be exhausted as well
Fair enough - Just looking beyond Catherines and just wondering how strong Ardmore are cc @anon70480284 @Fagan_ODowd
Big strong winter hurling team. The two Prendergasts still play and SĂŠamus Keating is knocking around the fringes of the Senior panel.
Pats had no interest in the Munster competition, were missing a few. I donât think theyâd have won even if they were going flat out and had everyone though.
I think theyâll win this weekend though.
The two Gartland brothers are meant to be useful also and the Hennessy clan are there too - theyâd be an experienced bunch most of them hurled senior cship for ten years or so, hardy boys up that way too
Jim-Bob retired
Youâd need your examined to be playing inter-county into your 30âs now.
2nd of the 2005 minors to go in a week .
Richie, Hickey and Condon the remaining ?
The Brick is still flying and heâs way older than Gavin and Jim-Bob. I know itâs a lot of commitment but itâs sad to see these fellas go so young.
Pity. We are seriously lacking experienced players these days. I wonder has Kiely retired them or have they just seen the writing on the wall.
A great servant was Jim. Must be a couple of hundred hurlers in Limerick with more hurling but very few with his heart and drive. Himself & Browne were a great pairing for a few years, but struggled a bit this year. Always gave us a great bite at midfield. We are lacking a few hard nuts now.
I wonder would he give the football a rattle for a year. He is a flaking footballer, came more natural to him.
Yeah, and Richie & Hickey were minor again in 2006 iirc?
Joe is the only fella from that Galway minor team playing intercounty still. Maybe Skehill too.
The wrong ones are retiring
Brick strikes me as a freak of nature . I assume the two boys feel they wonât be starting and hard to make such a sacrifice . Hard to blame them .
Oooooooooffffffttttt you caustic bar steward .
Ryan has struggled with injuries as well the last few years so hard to keep plugging away knowing you wonât be guaranteed a start.
I mean theyâre probably right, but youâd imagine that theyâd still both be among your first 5 subs. And if they were in particularly good form, could force themselves in.
Itâs just reducing our options, and the loss of experience and leadership in the camp is one of those things thatâs hard to gauge.
Iâd love to see him give the football a go. Much more naturally skilful footballer, and definitely would be good enough to make the panel.
Heâd be a great addition and he can actually score points in football
