Galway lads are saying heās excellent.
Canning as an example looks to be in the best shape of his life.

JP had a nice little windfall today. Maybe he could have a chat with him
Good for the roids you meanā¦
Winners find a way
Youāre talking shite. Most intercounty players canāt live with the physicality of Galway. Galway have a number of seasons of conditioning on them. Lads just out if u21, if even, are not going to be able to match that. It will them a few seasons to get to that level, and even then Galway will still be bigger men.
How old is Whelan?
Some of our players look like youāre feeding them from the ravenous thread on a daily basis pal,
Look, I just think we need to freshen that side of our management team up.
Heās there 3 years now and weāre going backwards.
Whatās your point? Are you trying to take one player out of the context of the whole team and hang an argument on it?
They could do worse, I have the best diet of anyone on this site.
As to going backwards over three years, how do you reckon thatās OāConnorās fault? Has he had the same players all the time? I think youāre being bananas.
OāConnor wonāt starve if he gets the P45 pal,
He has a nice number on Irelands fittest families sureā¦thereās no fear of him.
He is the only consistent component of losing management teams for 3 yearsā¦nothing personal but we need to look elsewhere now.
I merely asked you a questionā¦ How old is Monaghan?
You are the biggest dope when it comes to hurling talk by a long distance.
You would keep Kinnerick but ditch OāConnor? Based on the team apparently blowing? Fitness was not an issue last weekend.
The key issue was a definitive game plan. Play a 2 man full forward line by all means if it leads to extra cover in defence. But fucking have a plan on how your players distribute the ball in there. Have the gumption to run the ball or use shorter passes.
Donāt continue to lorry it in to no one in particular.
I suppose OāConnor was at fault for driving criminal wides as well?
FFS.
RIP.
Youāre not the full shilling buddy,
The craving for meaningless internet put downs and āvictoriesā is illustrating a big gap in your actual life to everyone else on here who has half a brain.
Grow up ffs.
Mate. Iāve listed my opinion on the absolute pile of steaming shite you typed out.
Get rid of OāConnor for what?
Fitness against Clare & KK was not the main issue or reason for the defeats.
Is being in a position for 3 years your genuine reason?
Did one of the ābig fourā scrutinise the draw ?
I do think Kinnerk is a very good coach; I think our hurling will improve under him. Did we see much of an improvement in that regard this year- first touch, intelligence on the pitch, etc? Maybe slightly, but nothing profoundā¦ hopefully over a longer period of times, weāll reap more benefits. Although he probably doesnāt work with these players again until November or December. Certain players are going to be going back to shit coaches for 4 months (and others will be going back to good coaches) and no doubt their bad habits will continue.
Would he be better working with the underage teams; is that where youād see a more pronounced influence? Maybeā¦ heās certainly got more of a coaching track record than Daly. We should never have let Wallis go. And Cregan might be miserable enough but I do think heās a good coach.
As for whether Kinnerk is useful outside of coaching, is he the man with a tactical plan? I donāt think we saw much evidence of that this year. When Kiely managed the 21s, we played a simple enough style. Used a dominant half-back line as a platform, and played quick, direct ball into the forwards. Wing-forwards took their men on, we had two midfielders with huge engines who got up and down the pitch and Lynch was given licence to roam as a playmaker. Simple enough stuff, helped by the fact that we had the best hurlers in the country. Not the case at senior level, and you probably have to be a bit more nuanced but the aim is still the same- feed your forwards good ball and theyāll score.
Maybe Kinnerk is a bit too concerned with possession and we are a bit laboured in moving it at times, I donāt know. He does seem like a smart fella though. Itās hard to tell from the outside but we definitely havenāt come across the ideal plan yet. We are ahead of where we were under TJ though.
As for OāConnor, we were not fit enough last year. Could count as a black mark against him, but was willing to give him a chance. This year, I think in general we were okay but there are certain players who are still not fit enough. And general strength & conditioning would seem to be well off Galway, for example. Although, they are absolute monsters, and that didnāt happen overnight. Definite room for improvement and if Ross Corbett was still in the country, I wouldnāt mind if he replaced him. Heās not though. I would like to see us step it up a level next year.
Kinnerks style does not suit Limerick
Iām not going to go down the road of highlighting particular players conditioning for your titilation.
But I will say one thing, you were a far more balanced poster a few years ago when you were pretending to be smoking weed.
Its a pity that phase ended.
