Limerick GAA - it's Box Office - Always Has Been, Always Will Be

Without checking iā€™d say half the Galway squad are around 23 ---- @The_Most_Infamous is correct here, Limerick have looked way off the last couple of years.

Ah their young lads

Yes they have. Who was the s&c/ fitness coach during the John Allen reign. I remember Allen acknowledged that fitness was an issue when Tipp pipped is at the post in 2012 and in 2013 they could have hurled a 90 minute game.

I think weā€™ll only see how little progress weā€™ve made when KK meet a proper team

I must be in a serious minority but I actually thought ye looked better against Clare than last Saturday night. Clare are a decent team IMO but I thought KK were v poor last weekend. LK maybe had a better chance of beating KK but thatā€™s more a reflection on the opposition. Was just a few horrendous errors cost ye dearly against clare

Clare were worth a 10 points win against Limerick. Poor freetaking and bad shooting in the last quarter meant they did not put it on the scoreboard.

Wouldnā€™t disagree with that. But they are potentially a very good side and maybe thatā€™s just a reflection of the gap. Limerick could have beaten a poor KK side if they had performed at all but I felt there was little or no composure

KK suited us, playing sky ball into our fullback line. Itā€™s when Clare ran at us and dragged us around the place that we were exposed

Spot on .

Yes, I would agree with that. Clare also beat us comfortably last year in the backdoor game.

Limerick have a serious fitness s/c problem. We are miles behind. We have the best facilities in Ireland out in Ul. Time to get serious now. Canā€™t be going in to championship with question marks over our head. Fuck the other two boys away back to Clare. Probably be better off bringing in one of the Munster s/C coaches. They seem to have a better understanding. I saw what Limerick were capable of when the promised a fully fit Dowling.

I didnā€™t think Clare were great against us at all, neither were Kilkenny obviously. But some horrific individual errors killed us against Clare and we only hurled with any sort of direction or intensity for about 5 mins.

We definitely hurled more against Kilkenny and while we still made mistakes, they werenā€™t as disastrous. I thought we actually did an okay job of monitoring Clareā€™s danger men bar handing two goals to Oā€™Donnell but itā€™s not as if he had to do anything special to get them, we fucked up with individual mistakes.

When was this?

At the Tony Forristal Iā€™d say

One for the Limerick backroom on how to make use of the strengths of our playersā€¦ Darragh Oā€™Donovan makes the run.

Take another look at the socksā€¦

Pat Simon is very direct. He looked in serious condition for the 21s that year but looks dwarved at senior at the moment.

Yep. Its not Darragh. Pat Ryan with those stripes on the socks.

Ffs it is his name in the commentary. Useful to check if anyone watched the clip

Itā€™s Pat Ryan, I donā€™t know what your issue is.

Cian should watch that and see the benefits of letting the ball go quick .
