Iād have a nibble on limerick at those odds. Actually Iād have a decent bite. Galway wonāt be too taxed about staying in 1b.
Insight like this is what would make your pal a great sports journalist
"To be honest, there was one particular lad last week who didnāt play with his college because he was three days out from playing an All-Ireland club semi-final.
āIf people heard the threat the college threw at him, it might open more peopleās eyes.ā
Weāll stop getting that nerd to do your assignments unless you play
Surely our sleuths can figure that one out?
Venn Diagram time again
An accomplished Gaeilgeoir, mayhaps?
Imagine if some little bollix went playing a colleges games (or any game) instead of representing his club in an All Ireland Club semi final?
Kiely would be as well not asking him back.
Angling for a 3 week break after the club final
Sounds like a man that knows his place is gone and is getting the excuses in early.
Iād have no issue with JK giving him (or other NP players) a break after Paddyās Day. But it would be on the premise that theyād clearly be told there are no guarantees about getting into the first 15 in May or even the 26. It is only fair on the lads currently there.
I can see Dowling being used as a Frankie Carroll/Donie Ryan type impact sub this year.
Sure thereās no guarantees any of them would or should be in the 15 anyway.
If heās an impact sub heāll come on and have an impact. All well and good.
If heās fit by summer thereās no question for me but he should start, full forward. We donāt have a freetaker or penalty taker as good as him and there isnāt another player in limericks could have scored the goal he scored in the club semi final.
When he comes in and tears it up, or a freetaker has a breakdown in a match or we make a habit of hitting all the 65s wide the same lads calling for him to be dropped will be asking why he wasnāt starting.
Gillane is a better free taker and carrying a lad becuase heās good at penalties is absolutely ridiculous.
I know there would/should be no guarantee either way, but I meant it in the sense of the taking a break would be made optional for them by JK. But they shouldnāt come back moaning if they do take a break and end out outside the match 26 in May
Gillane is an equally good free taker up to about 65 yards out, where his accuracy drops considerably. Dowling is the man for the longer ones. Youāre hardly carrying him either. A natural goalscorer.
TBF to him he didnāt say he was going to take three weeks off, he said they could do with it but then theyād be too close to championship coming back.
Flanagan is a far superior goal threat at 14. Dowling isnāt suited to the game plan at all. If he plays 14 you can only lump into him high. He isnāt even remotely fit looking at the moment.
Lads reading what they want to read here.
Gilliane hasnāt taken a free yet in inter county championship hurling . Dowling is a proven free taker at that level .
The Na P v Cuala game could easily final in a draw .
The moral of the storyā¦having the club All Ireland on Paddyās Day just because it is tradition is a fucking joke.
Absolutely no reason why it couldnāt be played in December or even January. It is not as if the pitch in Croke Park couldnāt take it
