Limerick GAA - it's Box Office - Always Has Been, Always Will Be

I would agree with all of that. Lads patting Dan Morrissey on the back here yesterday and I would safely say he was culpable for five frees on Duggan from Clare puck outs. Finn got done twice for fouling Oā€™Donnell when he was just harrying him. They then were denied a clear foul for gbh near the end of normal time.

Lk are 5th favorite with the big 2 bookies to win Munster . As things stand it is hard argue with that . Clare leaned an awful lot last evening too .

Limerick are improving but they need a championship win to alter views .

Any times? Ourselves and Tipp be the main event game obviously.

What times? Munster Toulon on that day as well.

Ah lovely.

Iā€™ll head to mallow for the races on the Sunday now :pint:

Our 3rd League semi in a row. Got hosed by Waterford 2 years ago and Galway last year. We are in much better shape this year so hopefully will be more competitive.

What??

Munster Toulon is on at 3:15. With traffic management hard to see game being on in Limerick unless itā€™s on around 7. I would guess Thurles will be the venue for both at 5 and 7pm. Portlaoise for me this Saturday and Thurles probably the following weekend.

If it goes to a coin toss and we win it I hope we play it in The Gaelic Grounds at 3.15pm on Easter Saturday.

What a weekend of sport locally it would be. Munster Derby with Waterford the night before in The Markets Field and then a league semi with the auld enemy the next day.

I reckon it could depend on who wins the quarter final between Wexford and Galway.

If itā€™s Kilkenny v Galway in the other semi final they could play a double header in Thurles, assuming that was agreeable to the Limerick CB number crunchers.

Alternatively a straight toss for home advantage.

Tipp - Wexford semi final was at a neutral venue last year so maybe a spin to Cork as a dress rehearsal for the June Bank Holiday weekend wouldnā€™t be too bad eitherā€¦ None of our lads have played there yet.

Or we could all find ourselves in OMP

I think iā€™m working 13hrs that Saturday fuckin typical!

I must say I like OMP as a venue.

Just off the motorway, plenty of parking, five minute walk to town and a great view from the stand.

Would go to the club final replay this Saturday as itā€™s only a short spin up the road but due to other commitments that wonā€™t be possible now.

Ah here, English is playing savage stuff, I like Casey but not a chance in hell he starts against Tipp ahead of English. Peter Casey and David Dempsey should be absolute certs to start though and they are the only 2 at this stage. I thought Byrnes hurled well enough yesterday. Those Patrickswell boys all have a bit of an edge to them. All 3 certain starters

Just looking back on the highlights there of Byrnes equalising goal.

Tony Kelly and Gillane are jostling on the 21, just to the right of Byrnes as he strikes it.

Byrnes buries it and Gillane turns and starts roaring at Kelly. Thatā€™s the kind of ā€œI donā€™t give a fuck who you areā€ attitude we need.

Lynch has it.
Malachy has it.
Flanagan has it.
Gillane has it.
Hayes has it.

Maybe not as he wonā€™t have time to play his way in ahead of him. English is a smashing player and I have no problem with him starting. However, he still gives away soft frees and is very liable to drop the ball out of his hand or be dispossessed or give a big loopy handpass. Good teams will allow short puck outs to English and Hickey all day long and then target them. Finn McCarthy Casey for me.
