Iâm sorry but he isnât even in the top 40 in limerick. Heâs a fine club a hurler but arguably naps 4th best forward. He isnât in contention.
Iâm sorry but that attitude is bolox. Next weeks game is huge and we canât keep passing up on these opportunities. âProgressâ and ânext yearâ are the buzzwords in limerick Gaa for far too long. We have a chance to really lay down the marker next week. Show the previous two efforts were no fluck. No more excuses.
Maybe not. Iâm only going on what I witnessed over the last two weeks.
Look I donât know.
Overall I think Limerick hurling is in a better place then it has been in 30 years. Whatâs needed now is common sense and calm heads. A quarter final is achievable this year. The biggest battle facing Kiely is to keep a Ludlow on it all
Aran gillane would have loved to have been playing the Adrian breen role yesterday or seanie Tobin or Graeme mul. Yesterday was a Million years away from championship at intercounty level. The 3 lads to enchance their chances yesterday were dowling and the two Caseyâs.
Loughnane was gas. Couldnât conceal his delight when Cork scored just before the break
Big yelp out of him.
You could do with honing your comprehension skills, young fella.
Nobody mentioned ânext yearâ. I clearly stated that itâs all about championship and next Saturdayâs game is a worthwhile stepping stone towards same. Thatâd be this yearâs championship, should you fail to understand me.
Saturday is an opportunity for one thing only - another game against decent opposition. The more of these games we play the better. It will not define anything, only than to give fodder to the fickle cunts who will declare us kings or paupers depending on the outcome of 70 minutes hurling.
Get with the bigger picture.
Your a born loser inhibited by the past. Thankfully limericks team is full of ambitious youngsters willing to seize their chances.
Christ alive, have you any instinct of comprehension young man?
Sometimes I wonderâŚ
Weâve heard it all before.
He had his cough softened fairly lively
He has had chances.
Spot on. Itâs another game that would be good to win and learn a bit more and thatâs all. Some lads cant get by without overhyping games and players, going around calling lads whoâve yet to play a championship game superstars and heaping pressure on them, and tis the same lads will turn around and tear them down five minutes later. Maybe thatâs the way itâs gone these days with the sky sports and the social media.
If Limerick are serious about making progress this year, big calls will need to be made.
- Quaid
- Finn
- Casey
- English
- Byrnes
- Hannon
- Hickey
- OâDonovan
- Lynch
- Hegarty
- Hayes
- Dempsey
- Gillane
- Flanagan/Dowling/Downes
- Casey
We have a serious chance of getting to a quarter or a semi and from there who knows. I think the fifteen has the right amount of cut about it, serious work rate and a scoring full forward line. I put Dempsey in as we are struggling to get scores from the half forward line.
My sources tell me Limerick co board are pleading with the GAA for as late as possible a start to the game to avoid a clash with the rugby. They fear only a handful of fans will travel
Hurling men donât give two fucks about rubby.
Who are playing in the egg chasing?
The games will be staggered anyway due to TV coverage. Iâd say Wexford Kilkenny will be a 5pm throw in followed by the senior match
Not many of them in limerick unfortunately
