Is there any talk that perhaps some of the NP lads dropped opted out on their own decision?
Thatâs standard mate. I donât know what you are getting excited over. You need to name 26 and if youâve 4 or 5 injuries as most panels would you are into the 30âs already. What would you do? Pick 30 and hope you donât get more than 4 injuries or suspensions?
Iâd imagine the Tipp panel is similar numbers wise
Iâd be shocked if Tipp donât carry 35. Laois footballers carry the bones of 35, injuries etc not withstanding. They all want to have 15 v 15 for training games at the least
Pretty much all the fat been trimmed off the squad. Nobody really can have any complaints. Alan Dempsey has had 5 years to prove himself at intercounty level and hasnât. Kiely seems to have zero time for versatile players like Alan Dempsey, Ronan lynch etc. even lads like colin Ryan who could play a few positions havenât. Iâd imagine lorcan Lyons and Altc are being carried for the intermediate competition. As far as Iâm aware anybody not on the senior panel or the 21 panel wonât be allowed play. I doubt the likes of Alan Dempsey would have any interest in that.
Itâs definitely possible. Adrian Breen was never on the panel afaik.
The two Monaleen boys are the ones who never got any real run. Condon, OâReilly and OâMeara limited enough gametime too.
TBF that says pre season training panel, the Limerick one is a Championship panel. Regardless, as I said, Iâd be shocked if Tipp dont carry 35.

I make it 3 from the south division and 1 from the east.
The obsession from the Limerick lads over the Tipperary lads obsession over Limerick is gas.
Good to see the Team G/B footballing conveyor belt throwing out another one, with a lad on the minor football panel. Good player he is too, fine hurler also.
Seven cut from the senior hurling panel.
Ronan Lynch.
Alan Dempsey.
Grimes.
Boylan.
Cian Hedderman.
Mikey Mackey.
Darragh Fanning.
Bit harsh on Alan Dempsey, probably better than a couple that are still there. He was excellent in the club final replay. Hard to see where heâd fit in though. Probably doesnât have the athleticism for midfield or the physicality for the half backline.
ALTC came on up in Cushendall anyway. I know he plays in the forwards for his club but a strange one when you think a few years back at minor he was lording it at wing back. Canât see him getting a look in in terms of a forward spot this summer.
Most of those seven have plenty of time to get back in further down the lineâŚ
If there is an injury to Quaid or Hennessy, youâd imagine Hedderman will be recalled. Slightly surprised they didnât keep him around just in case, keep him in the loop with regards puckout strategies, etc.
Eoghan Mc and Robbie Henley are back in the fold come the end of May.,
Thatâs good Eoghan Mc has serious potential and I could see him pushing Quaid strongly if not this season definitely next year.
The management team would want a kick in the hole. Not allowing lads play minor hurling champ with their clubs because they had a ârecovery sessionâ.
So if the panel remains as it is for the rest of the championship, will all 36 get an all ireland medal in August? Or is there only a limited number that they give out?
well if they wanted to finish football in the county
Tisnt only medals they will be getting lifetime free accommodation in the manor horses named after them etc etcđ
Counties can buy additional medals. JP will buy one for every fella who hurled for Limerick since 94.
