Yeah, the Wineport is supposed to be daycent
Belvedere is grand but not that cheap to get in. Hodson Bay hotel on lough ree in Athlone sounds like it could fit your needs.
Nicest hotels in Westmeath afaik are around Athlone. Hodson Bay, Sheraton and Wineport the pick of them.
I stayed in the Bloomfield last year. Grand spot. Part of it looks like a converted convent.
About 10 mins from Mullingar which is far from the most inspiring town anywhere, apart from a bar just to the right of the T-Junction as you hit the town centre. Claire has massive juggs. Canāt remember the name of the bar for the life of me but those diddies will live long in the memory.
Mornington House, pal.
The candle lit dinner is outstanding and very reasonable. Warwick the owner is a gas cunt
Do what @corner_back suggested, Hodson Bay is decent. Donāt forget to get your picture taken with the Joe Dolan statue whatever you do.
Thatās all I got
I thought Hodson Bay was a kip. I advocate Wineport Lodge. What kind of gimp promises his bird a few nights away at the height of championship season anyway? A funeral or wedding is acceptable, as is a lengthy foreign holiday in certain circumstances. But fannying around Ireland when hurls* are breaking elsewhere is patently ridiculous.
*wooden implement used to play hurling. Strangely referred to as āhurleysā in rural outposts in Munster.
God help us if there is a replay - best laid plans
Yes. Agreeā¦ but iām locked in this summer, pal, and princess deserves a few days away with her man. We are also flying to Manchester to watch Wicked (Flattly has kindly offered to put us up) and we will be doing a bit of shopping in our nations capital also and I might take a trip to the zoo as I loves the wildlife, so I does. A few low key days away with the love of my life will not stop Limerickās march to gloryā¦ now, this is your second attack on me today, if youāve something to say iād prefer you to say straight out like a man and stop fannying around yourself. I seem to recall Wexford were breaking hurls a few weeks ago and you went to a meaningless Irish soccer match against England instead, you also missed leage matches to ābe aboveā at some Monaghan football game or other- people is glass houses and all that.
p.s - Have you any holiday plans made with your own good lady?
No destination yet, mate. But weāve pencilled in 3 weeks in August for holidays as Iām fully confident that Wexford will be out of the championship by then. Not sure if Iāll bother heading down to Wexford Park on Saturday night myself actually as I have plans up north.

Was at 21s v Seniors nothing learnt paul browne did well midfield, nicky was goalie also wayne mc did well in defence. Fitzgibbon did well first impressed with adrian breen and tommy o brien. Cian Lynch main man for 21s also impressesld with diarmuid byrnes.David McCarthy made some top class saves for 21s. Ronan Lynch taking off half time seemed gud bit off pace LaTouche saw little ball when came on at corner forward. One thing stood out was Richie English seemed to be bad blood with him and few senior boys from NaPiarsaigh
Come on Limerick always.

Tom Condon and Richie McCarthy did not play last night. All players that are under 21 on senior panel played with 21s Cian Lynch wing forward tried really hard to get things going. Ronan Lynch played centre forward had little impact say three or four touches taking off at half time. Sean Finn was on Hannon, Hannon turned him once and shot was saved by keeper Finn was on Adrian Breen in second half conceded two goals off him then taken off. LaTouche Cosgrove came on second half was making Walsh got little ball had one wide. Byrnes was wing back marking Dowling had everything two guys went hard at both scored. Morrissey was King, King won most of the ball but was caught for a goal. David Dempsey was marked very tight by wayne mc. Seniors won easily didnt really learn anything from it I dont think anyone would be called up based on it. Others might have different opinions
Limerick Seniors Quaid D.Morrissey King Hickey P.OāBrien G.OāMahony W.McNamara Browne J.Ryan Fitzgibbon Tobin Dowling Mulcahy Downes Hannon subs T.OBrien A.Breen D.Breen S.Walsh
Limericks 21s McCarthy Finn English OCallaghan Byrnes OāConnell (not sure who 7 was) J.Hannon C.Lynch Dempsey R.Lynch Condron K.OāBrien T.Morrissey C.Malachy subs LaTouche P.Ryan had few more
Come on Limerick always!
If ye click ye will go far
will Tobin start on sunday
Who knows, Joeā¦ TJ is going back to basics, so he is. Thatās why he played Tobin at 11 and Fitzgibbon at 10 - back to sticking midgets in the half-forwards.
Itās an interesting tactic, letās see how it plays out for him. He could add them to Paul Browne on the wing.
leave lench on the bench, bring him on 2nd half. give downes a start
