i think they’re all feeling the effects of a very long season, gavin included.
12 months ago there was legitimate concerns he was going to be dropped for croke park - and they’ve been hurling ever since.
i’m a bit surprised that cunningham hasn’t gone the physical route with ryan o’dwyer to unsettle him.

Ryan, Keaney & Schutte could bag a few goals handy, the Lk FB line ain’t a rosey looking picture either. I’ll either be very impressed with Limerick, or very disappointed in Dublin if there’s 10 points between them at the final whistle.

we thought that 4 years ago, hickey and geary brutally exposed for three goals and we’ve 2 of that half back line going out again saturday

Blind optimism is better then sense 48 hours before following any Limerick team into battle. Very valid points, but we were v raw and Hickey at full back that day was a complete and utter disaster, Geary at CB’s legs were completly gone so the Dubs had a free run at our goal. Theirs no way Richie is as bad as Hickey would be anyway FB, and I reckon Gavin will get protection if not be a sweeper himself.

My point is Clare would’nt have put 30 pts on them, If it has Downes starting FF and he reaches some bit of his potential for the rest of the year supposing we win on Saturday it won’t be so bad.

He is our only viable goal threat, we did’nt lose anything by putting Dowling out on the 40.
