Limerick GAA - We get knocked down 🐐

Excellent win for limerick. Some bad wides in the first half but other than that a comprehensive performance
I think ryan made a mistake taking
off downes when hew hadn’t scored
Might have been better off to leave him on

Good day for Limerick, as expected, Wexford were destroyed by the first good team they met.

Also, isn’t TJ really growing into his role of All Ireland winning manager?

Hurling into August. Happy days.
I’d fear for the safety of David Breen tonight.

If he is around the Na Piarsaigh clubhouse later, decides to walk home and encounters a drunken, aroused @glasagusban …

Well done Breener, excellent again today.
:eek::D:DYou horrible cunt! :mad::smiley:

Shane Dowling out in front of his man all day today   Seeing things like that makes me #believe :pint:

I said as much to Phil Leotardo’s dad today… he seems to be better as the games go on.

Loudest cheer of the day was when Richie walked to the sideline when he was being subbed.

That man is a colossus. Best full back in the championship for me again, so far. A real warrior, the roar from the Limerick crowd whenever he comes charging out with the ball.

I did say before the tipp game that he would get better and better as the summer wore on if we got the games as his fitness will improve all the time. I have him at 7/1 for YHOTY.

Was in the Town End and he gave an exhibition in the second half. The Limerick supporters really love him. I’d love him at full back for Tipp

And yet @caoimhaoin will continue to maintain O’Neill is better!:smiley:

Agreed on Downes, he did get on a lot of ball and will click. We said the same at the time.

As I said, he’s doing all the hard stuff, the shooting will come good.

If he keeps running at kk they will foul, and one thing we didn’t see today is the weapon of a shot Dowling has on him for 21s. It’s something I think could have a big impact next game.

McDonald win every ball played into him in the first half. I didn’t see the 2nd half. So what I saw SON has still had a better campaign to date.

Every ball =1 ball? And that one ball Richie McCarthy wasn’t marking McDonald

Shane O Neill is scrap.

Classic Kevin

I felt sorry for Downes today. It just would not go right for him. As Niall Moran and Sean Tobin were about to come on , you could see him screaming for the ball as he was obviously desperate to score before the inevitable substitution. We need to keep faith with him for the Cats - he can do damage

Shane held the motm properly with 2 hands, hope he is fine

He’s fine.

We now have a set of forwards who can all score from play. For years and years we were relying on one or two to do the bulk of the scoring, now we’ve a greater spread. Wouldn’t surprise me if Downes has a blinder the next day. He was almost too desperate to grab scores today. I’ve no worries about him though. He has the pace, strength and ability to trouble any defence.

It’s a tough ask to beat Kilkenny but would expect us to give it a rattle.
