What an utterly ridiculous point to make.
Itâs tough enough for limerick fans without you trying to belittle their pain with this sort of brit style âchin up old palâ drivel

John allen aka tactical genius couldnât figure out the complexities of changing free taker the clown. If he didnât want to put on dowling then he should at least have brought up o.mahony
Like I said earlier, was tough seeing the young lad in tears after the game, but it would have had no outcome on the result regardless. How many did he miss, 5?
Yep. No outcome on result? Donât agree with that
Fair play Renton!
You have to take the good with the bad in sport, ye will be back!
It would have glossed over a very bad display but I wonât go down the route of ifs and buts and take from Clareâs display, they were great throughout.

Clare crowd going mental at the end⌠Ger Lough was sat over my shoulder and Iâd say his face hurts from smiling. A great day for ye cunts!
I havenât a stick to beat them with. Being honest, Itâs more for my own sanity, pal. Thereâs a rage inside me bubbling away at the manner of that defeat that I just donât want to engage with.
Thatâs fair enough. Think as well as 4/5 extra points on the board would have been momentum and confidence boosts too. Very different game then. Still not saying ye would have won but that Clare team was not tested yesterday
While Limerickâs tactic of playing three workers/stoppers in the half forward line worked in Munster it really was to their detriment yesterday. Clare got their match-ups ring, Breen caused a couple of early issues but Bugler got on top and Conor Ryan more than nullified James Ryan while the decision to place Tony Kelly at midfield on OâGrady was another schrewd move, OâGrady spent far too much time chasing after Kelly than trying to play his own game. Limerick were left with far too much reliance on their inside forwards to put up a score and with the mobility of the Clare full backline and Donnellan ahead of them they were always going to struggle to get on the ball and were always going to struggle.
As I said on another forum if you had asked me back in January what would Clare need to make an A/I final I would have said that Conlon would have to be hurling out of his skin and Honan and McGrath putting up big scores would have been very high on the list. The fact that we are there without this really happening just shows you how much the side has improved and that the balance is there. There is a serious scoring threat from 8 to 15 and our ability to take score from 50 metres+ is excellent at the minute

They could have put it over the bar with their mickeys yesterday they were so on form. How many wides had Clare, 3/4?
5 I think. Tony Kelly scored more from play yesterday that the whole of the starting six Limerick forwards combined:eek:
Fuck sake. Thatâs a horrible stat, thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Once he missed the second one they should have changed to Gavin.
Does anyone have contact details for the Corrigan brothers???
@totalfuckingdickheads
Couldnât agree with that either. Clare hurled very well, but the fact remains that if Limerick had taken even half of their scoring chances in the first half they would have gone in at half time at least level, but the players were so nervous in their play it was tough to watch. Plenty of questions to ask of management too.

[]Iâve been critical of the two small men full forward line all year and yesterday it showed up as a poor tactic. Especially when it was well flagged that Clare would have an extra man back there. We just donât have the ball strikers out the field to give them the ball they need to be effective
[]Hickey was dropping back to supposedly provide cover but I think the man he brought back with him picked off a few scores?
[*]Downes was either fit or he wasnât. Why leave him on the bench until 5 minutes to go.

We havenât played well all year, Iâve said it countless times, but of all days I thought we would rock up with a performance it was yesterday. Makes it all the harder to take.
Will Allen stay on?
