A cork lad out here in Spain said he thought breen was a phenomenal player, I said you should hear he abuse he gets at home!
I wouldnāt move Ryan out midfield. Browne will have a big part in covering Kelly/Collins wandering about. He mixed good and bad the last day but the amount of ground he covers is unreal.
I reckon itāll be an unchanged team presuming the injuries are cleared up. the system will stay the same. Clare had a platform off their half back line v Galway, they wonāt get that against limerick. Ryan motm last day, heāll wreak havoc v Clare, they wonāt win a clean ball at centre back, leave him say put. I know Iām like a broken record but the only change Iād make is start downes if fit, for Tobin or mulcahy. We can start him without changing the system and I think our ff line will be more effective with him in it.
Phenomenal?? Come on nowā¦ Anyway, I think Browne was more bad than good last day, his passing and shooting were very slack. At one stage in the second half he ran 20/30 yards with ball before hand passing to fresh air. A bit harsh pointing Browne out alone as we have been very loose with distribution throughout, but the stakes have upped significantly now and these mistakes have to be cut out.
I thought Clare were the best āoutsidersā for the all ireland at the start of the year. I was more convinced, funnily enough, after they were beaten by Cork in the semi final of the Munster.
They are dynamite from 8-15 and possess players with genuine pace and skill that few others can match. Their players have a winning mentality from playing Fitz and winning underage.
The lingering doubt I had about them was their lack of a real dominant centerback and full back. However the game has evolved to such an extent that these positions are far less pivotal to success than hitherto. The performance of the Cork team emphasizes this.
I would expect Cork to have far too much hurling for Dublin and feel that the Dublin backs will be pretty exposed by the pace and touch of the Cork forwards.
For me, it will be a Cork V Clare all ireland final. My heart says Cork but my head says that Clare will have a bit too much strength in depth for us.
Hurling has being the real winner this summer and the future is bright and very open.
Probably:) Meant to post the above in Hurling thread but posted in this thread in error.
Donāt get me wrong, I have a load of respect for Limerick and John Allen in particular. I would just be of the opinion that pace and skill are the most important components to success in the modern game and Clare have this in far more abundance than limerick.
Hurling like most team sports is constantly evolving. The game I watch today is different to the one I grew up playing.
Thatās not to see its better or worse, just different. Comparisons to the past are redundant.
Plenty of pace in the Dublin backline. Cork exposed KKās lack of pace (Delaney, Tyrell) but will find it difficult to do the same against Dublin. Dublin will also bring a much higher level of fitness and intensity than KK.
Cork will beat Dublin, rook Kenny to Bishop Keaney and game over red rover. Dublin concede too many frees to survive v Cork and that 5 week gap is massive. I think the bookies have priced this all wrong, cork should be favs, the other game is the harder to call
Agree on that. Browne found himself in shooting positions which I suppose isnāt his forte, again heāll improve on it the next day I imagine, as oābrien improved his deliveries out of defence.

Letās hope so mate. We just have to be 5-10% more economical with the ball and we will be grand.
