A nasty post
Ya, kk have seem to be building momentum but we just seem to be able to grind it out. Would love to be able to start last year’s team fully fit, with Kyle attacking from half back.
Dan morrissey could be needed at full back for this game.
Big Rob Ryan seen in the Big house stewarding today.
What a guy.
You’re an astute hurling analyst.
You have to hand it to The Big Man.
When the Arabs see what an operator he is they’ll be some bidding war for his services.
Serious question, why wouldn’t John Keenan not get the match?
Limerick have issues with John Keenan since he sent off Peter Casey last year in the semi final. The Big House says No.
The boys on this were fairly complimentary of the man after the Munster final this year. I heard he’s 49, be his 2nd last chance of a final? He deserves one, he’s a good referee.
Paud is 48/49 as well and is nearly out of chances too. Both deserve a go at it. Two good referees
Wasn’t the word that the GAA didn’t like how he dealt with the Munster Final? Paud is a good ref, I would have said generally he’s been higher-profile for longer than Keenan and has never got a final.
It was. He didnt referee by the rules.
Funny how lads are happy for a referee to let it flow, and then get all het up when they dont apply the rules. Brian Carroll made a good point on a podcast earlier this week. Offaly were moaning about the supposed free towards the end of the game that wasn’t given, but were happy to take the advantages gained in the first half when they went their way.
You either have rules, or you dont. You cant have it both ways.
Keenan is getting fucked over now because he didnt apply the rules as they are written. Which by the letter of the law is correct.
What fouls did he ignore in the Munster Final? Not talking about ones that he couldn’t possibly have seen.
Was he commended for “letting the game flow” in the Munster Final?
Who fucking cares about the ref anyway? It’ll be same the for both teams.
It shouldn’t matter who refs the all Ireland, but given hurling can be almost two different sports depending on the ref, it certainly does matter
Colm Lyons ffs.
He’s a shocking ref.
Limerick have really stopped creating goal chances as well. Only one v Clare in two games and none v Galway in their last three games.
Maybe it’s a simple case of missing cian lynch but teams seem to be not coughing up goal chances from that long diagonal ball Limerick have perfected. While gillane is incredibly accurate with those over the shoulder shots he seems to be gathering possession further and further from goal.
It’ll be interesting if they have held a little back to score a few.
