Liveline thread

That, presumably, is UL student and Kilkenny hurler Padraig/Padraic/Paraic/Pauric Walsh by the way.

Someone whispering in the ear coaching Dan there

Joe going mental now that there is only one week of lectures left for the year in UL.

“Your Present (sic) Emeritus Ed Walsh spends his time going on about how easy secondary teachers have it, and you’re telling me lectures are all but finished for the year?”

“Yeah but it’s like that in UCC, it’s like that in all the colleges.”

“That doesn’t make it right, though”, says another caller.

Joe introduces another student: “And you say it was like paradise.”

High time someone called that cunt Ed Walsh out.

It wasn’t like that , when Ed has his way in NIHE days that wasn’t the case, When they were universicised in '90 they had to adopt the NUI rules. Ed’s a top man

Well said. He made us the men we are Kid.

The Julio Iglesias gig in the O2 last night was a bit of a disaster. Julio thought he was in Mexico on the night and the sound was so bad the sound man was sacked on the spot. Pat Egan got an awful doing, but will not be giving refunds.

The stage set up was appalling apparently. I imagine it would have been the sound technician in Julio’s crew who was sacked if it was anyone rather than venue or external technicians.

They’re opening a third Aldi in Wexford town

That’s very much in keeping with their policy of targetting economically deprived areas.

Fooking hell thats depressing. They already have 2 Supervalus.

And a Lidl and Tesco apparently.

Aldi have allegedly manipulated the planning regulations, don’t employ staff and are screwing their contractors to the wall

6 cent bags of vegetables, who could possibly have guessed that they would engage in these practices.

@Fagan ODowd please explain your dumb rating

Fond reminiscences about Big Ian now.

Joe: “Could you compare Ian Paisley to Nelson Mandela?”

They are equally dead.

A constitutional politician like the good Reverend wouldn’t have liked that comparison to a terrorist like Mandela.

Some “Land League” chap has just compared the O’Donnells to “victims of contaminated blood from Pelican House in the 1990s”.

Tom D’Arcy is the chap’s name.
