The great man was born 100 years ago yesterday.
That makes him three days older than Bill Nicholson. Just goes to show the long apprenticeship Bob Paisley served. He was 55 when he became Liverpool manager in 1974, the same summer Bill Nicholson finished up his 16 year tenure as Spurs manager.
