Bar the season of Luis, the club hasn’t recovered from the Hicks/Gillette implosion post 2009. One area where LIverpool had relative stability was the manager’s office. That’s changed now, between 2009-2012, they started four successive seasons with four different managers and they’re now onto Herr Klopp. Hard to credit now that Liverpool finished ahead of Spurs for 38 consecutive seasons from 1971/72 to 2008/09. Spurs have finished ahead of Liverpool for 6 of the last 7 seasons.
