Agreed, McManaman was class. Could play any era.
Mr Alex Ferguson was scared stiff of him. Peter Atherton from Sheffield Wednesday was the only opponent that had his number.
He ran from the club as soon as Houlier got involved.
He saw the writing on the wall before anyone else did. Iād say heād be the equivalent of a KDB or a peak Gareth Bale these days
The goal he scored against Celtic was unreal, I remember listening to it on the radio and dancing a jig around the kitchen
McManaman was very different to both those players. Iād say better than either.
Youāre probably right, maybe a mix of the 2, he was well able to pick out a pass like KDB but also splendid at dribbling at pace. Probably didnāt have the power of Bale but his technique was excellent
Bale could only play wide. McManaman was comfortable going into the middle and getting it. Could turn out either side, play both feet, open the field. He took some licks as well running, heād go back get it and run at you again. An underrated player
Hun cunt
Didnāt say that
Stevie Mac was unreal and criminally (excuse the pun) misused by the scousers. Could beat 4 men on his own and serve it on a platter, an unreal footballer. Pity he played for the murderers.

Are the 1950 and 71 games up on YouTube? Fire them up there.
Iām sure they are. The 1950 Final may well even be accompanied with remarks by Tom Webster.
I remember the 87 Littlewoods cup final between both. Big time Charlie got two for Arsenal who won 2-1.

Another day trawling twitter for Liverpool content. A bizarre way to spend your time
Sturridge could have been a great.
Suarez was easily the best player to ever play the the EPL. Phenomenal.

He had a great bit of bite about him
Imagine Suarez and big Sami on the same team
