The Wexford electorate are astute, intelligent and considered. They won’t elect “celebrity” candidates based solely on their name. I think Mick Wallace topped the poll by a whopping margin down there at the last general election.
According to the RTE website, Storey is still hanging on grimly to the 8th and final slot just about fending off Independent Jackser Owens?
I see the sophisticated Gorey electorate have returned Malcolm Byrne as a poll topper. No adverse effect for Malcolm from the salacious gossip he’s been subjected to since he last faced the electorate.
