Tried this there. I did the 30 fine, but it felt like being on a rocky boat or something. A really unpleasant feeling.
Brilliant stuff bud.
My foot was hurting yesterday but ok today. I think my body isn’t used to running roads anymore. I went a good block without a niggle, but I think my ankles had got used to trails and mountains. Felt I could roll an ankle here and there without any real ramifications.
Hoping to slip out Sunday to the hills and hopefully push myself over the 50km
I’d only be at a very handy jog on roads, any time I pick up the pace I can feel it in my knees straight away.
Did 12 today with Claire. Freezing fog. Out again tomorrow
Claire Swimming does a bit of running as well? Would she ever consider an auld triathlon?
Dunno. I’d say she would. She used bizarrely do synchronised swimming for GB
On 48km myself. Planning on a 5km and a 10km this weekend.
Any pics?
I’m 42.9km from 11 runs in 2021 so far. Doing a shorter loop some mornings if I’m pushed for time so pulling my average run length down, but could never do more than 5km in any venture in any case. Still plodding away at a slow pace, nearly collapsed when I ran a “fast” 3.5km the other morning. Overall, I need to sort out the diet first to get back to my 5min/km prime. It might never happen.
I believe in you.
Not to be outdone I picked up a handy strava KOM this morning, that’s my lockdown challenge taken care of for January
Fair play. Great pace for it.
I guarantee you’ll get there mate if you keep at it. 100%.
I’m invested in you.
That purple number is marvellous on you.
Thanks mate. I think so.
A short 3k only … Had a lovely flat route picked out as my calf is still a little bit tight… As I got to the entrance to Garryduff woods a few dog walkers stopped me saying there was a man with a knife acting up down the path and not to go in, the guards on the way… I hate not having a route. I then had to go up a few inclines and sure enough the calf got tight so I called it.
17k of 50 done.
