I’m gonna have to go back to afternoon or evening runs… I’ve always enjoyed morning runs pre breakfast but found the last few that I’m hitting empty around 6/7k … Maybe a gel?

Train yourself out of that, keep doing it, your body will learn how to use fat as fuel.
Bring a few sweets, you shouldn’t need a gel for that distance

I had three energy sweets and about 300ml of water (which was too little admittedly) and spent nearly 3 hours on my feet. You’d want to be out for a few hours before considering gels.

I know… Shur I’ve always run or trained on an empty stomach but the last few runs I’ve been dying by 6/7k… I probably just need to get out more…

awake about 8.30 - out by 9.15 …

About right I’d say.
