Strava is populated by deeply insecure types who try to make up for failures elsewhere by running up the first 50 metres of the local bog trail quicker than the last inadequate.
STRAVA, like the INTERNET, is very serious business
Lovely weather for a run, just did 15k
The segments are interesting @Mac, i hate to see lads leading with world record pace, they’ll have hit on run while out for a cycle,
I have two KOMs at the moment, I’ve had a number of others in the past, I tried for the two I have now but they were always in the middle of longer runs, it’s a good way of getting in some speed work
Not a cloud in the sky, beautiful alright. But it’s -6 here in KK and the roads are slippy.
Did a 5k there this morning to clear the head.
Sat here for ages then contemplating life and how quickly things can change.
Stay safe guys. Enjoy life and make the most of things.
Went out with the intention of doing a long run there but calved after 5km. Spent the last 2km half running / half walking back. A lovely day for it though
@McGeady1916, @Pikeman and myself bid farewell to a good friend today after a long battle with cancer. Only 39 years old. So I completely concur with @Gman’s sentiment.
Make the most of life lads, its fuckin short enough
Sorry to hear that.
Up to 25k now @Fran I’ll take tomorrow off and go again next week. Will have to do 5 x 5 for the next three weeks to make it
That’s shit mate. Sorry to hear
RIP, sorry to hear that mate.
Sorry to hear that @Mac. Life is very tough for a lot of people. 39 is no age.
A pal of mine was called next door yesterday. His neighbour was 70. Collapsed. My pal gave him CPR for 20 minutes until advance parademic arrived. He didn’t pull through unfortunately.
The same lad gave CPR to a lad who collapsed in front of us a few years ago. That lad made it.
I’m good Fran. Just been a tough time. My cousin died suddenly yesterday. 41 years old. Had a big asthma attack and that was that. Just hard to make sense of it all. Got out early this morning for a run and just stayed down by the bay for a while in my own thoughts. His dad passed away last March so been a really tough year for my aunt. How quick things can change makes you appreciate what you have.
Sorry for your loss. That’s beyond cuntish.
