Lockdown 2021 Run Challenge

How far are you from Drimnagh?

Just down the roadish, well just over a mile.

Head to Sundrive Road Velodrome for a nice bit of elevation

Only 500 metres. Dont fancy 10 laps

I can feel the heat hopping off those pics.

Spent 2 days shivering in bed with heat stroke after going for a run along the beach in Sihanoukville without suncream many moons ago :sob:

Sihanoukville is comparable to Traught most days

Grand morning for it lads. Caffeine in the system, tennis on in the background. Time to get out.

Great event and cause if anyone is interested. Organised by a national treasure.

How do you find the redmi note 8 pro?

Did a decent run there.

2 km warm up
3km @ 3:55 - 4:00
1km cool down

Struggling to see where ill pull another 2km from at that pace. Was gasping at the end.

Lose a k in your warm up. Get that caffeine into you son.

I had a very nice coffee before it.

I only do a very small warm up… Should I do more? I do a few squats, lunges, pushups etc rather than running.

The more experienced lads I see on Strava would generally be doing a 2 - 3km warm up.

That would probably be 1k for me… I’d have a good stretch after my few exercises but the thoughts of running to go running kills me.

17.5kmish on the mountains today. I didn’t bother with a warm up. I was plenty warm after the first climb, which was the first 4km.

Not a huge amount of climbing (maybe 7-750m) but well past the monthly target with a week to spare.

I better start concentrating on the roads for week ahead I suppose

Always do a decent warmup. Do some stretching then before your workout.
