A second suspect package has been found in Dublin, ahead of the Queen’s historic visit.
The Irish army have said they are investigating the find in Inchicore, Dublin.
It follows the discovery of a viable improvised explosive device in the luggage compartment of a bus on the outskirts of Maynooth, near Dublin.
Irish police made the device safe with a controlled explosion in the early hours of this morning.
The threats follow a coded threat to Scotland Yard from republican dissidents yesterday - but Irish police have vowed their security plans will not change.
In the past 24 hours, police in London have also destroyed an abandoned suitcase in a controlled explosion.
sickening shit by the anglophiles on here & in this shithole country
we welcome a foreign despot that occupies part of our country & at the moment is engaged in countless colonial wars
we are forced to alter our daily plans to facilitate her
not one mention in the mainstream media about her releasing the files on the dublin bombings
Leaving aside the wrongs carried out in the name of the Queen in this country, I find it sickening that the country would come to a stand still and this person would be treated so well during her stay, when she is only in the position she is due to the family she was born into, and hasn’t been elected by anyone.
It fairly makes a mockery of Britain’s democracy fight in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Madam, – Subjecting HM Queen Elizabeth to a performance by Westlife will go some way to balancing out the wrongs of 800 years of repression. – Yours, etc,
GREGORY DUNN,
Manor Place,
Stoneybatter, Dublin 7
An odd, but funny, choice of letter for the IT to print
Speaking on Morning Ireland, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said those opposed to the visit were entitled to protest, but added that he hoped they would not embarrass the country.
They will be toasting the worlds biggest war criminal in a couple of days Farmer and there won’t be half the hatred towards him, strange how things work.
