You wouldn’t work for one of it’s competitors by any chance???
iPad is the best way to browse the INTERNET essentially just a big iPhone but if you combo it with an android you’ve the best of both worlds. I’ve an iPad since 2013 that still works fine just wouldn’t update after 2017 or work with some apps now so I got a newer one, both refurbished from Apple. Bulletproof
Good value in buying from the UK these days.
What sort of budget and what will it be used for mainly?
Mainly used for just internet browsing, Spotify, streaming matches, as well as basic enough Word/Excel/PowerPoint type stuff that kind of thing. Will be using it a bit for video editing & data analytics too and maybe a small bit of gaming.
Looking for something physically sturdy if possible, not a HP, as the hinges on those are an absolute disaster.
Had my current laptop for about 5 years and would probably be hoping to get similar out of a new one. Probably be looking at 16gb RAM for that reason, the old one starting to chug a bit.
Budget-wise, I’m not overly fussy as I’m hoping to get a good few years out of it. Paid five or six hundred for the last one iirc, I’d be willing to pay more if it was really worth it.
Macbook
Oh, and not Apple. With a large-ish keyboard preferably.
And probably would favour one with a disk drive.
What size screen you looking for?
I actually don’t know what size my current one is. From a quick Google, minimum 15-inch I would say. Biggish.
Video editing and gaming require much more powerful machines than anything else you mentioned. So much will depend on whether they are essentials for you and what performance you need for them.
I’d buy the 8GB version and buy extra RAM and upgrade it yourself.
I’d forget about the gaming altogether myself on a laptop. Just not powerful or sturdy enough.
The video editing is the biggie alright. He’ll need a fair sized everything with a good big SSD inside and an external HDD for storage.
buy an external HDD and DVD writer
I realise that. The video editing I’m doing is pretty basic stuff but I’m going to be doing it regularly enough and the current laptop is struggling with it a bit, it’s one of the reasons for the upgrade.
Gaming-wise, it’s not too common and I don’t care about graphics being on full resolution tbh. But being able to play older games every now and again as well as Football Manager would be nice.
You sound like a man doing a bit of stats/analysis for a GGA team
