Looking at this
17 inch screen, 8gb ram, 1TB storage minimum requirements. Anything better out there? Don’t mind spending a bit more, but nothing crazy. @EstebanSexface @cluaindiuic @Copper_pipe ?

Friend of mine bought that and I found it very flimsy, very light plastic on it. Also find 17" is too big, 15.5" is perfect and probably sturdier.
Lenovo would be my preference. That bit heftier

Inspiron Range is a bit lighy generally.
The latitude is a far sturdier range.
Work. Larger screen would be better for what I do. It wouldn’t be used much outside of office maybe once or twice a fortnight so being flimsy may not be a huge issue.
Do you really need 1TB of storage?
The majority of laptops these days have SSDs which will more than likely be 256GB or 512GB.
What sort of a tin can operation are you running? Do you not have at least 2 monitors set up at home?

@cluaindiuic main requirements are minimum 1TB storage, preferable 17 inch screen and minimum 8GB ram, but can lower both screen and ram if absolutely needed.

SSD hard drives are the only major improvement that there’s been in PC or Laptop technology in the last 10 years. You need that more than you need 1TB.
Yep an SSD is basically a must have these days.
You’d get a 1TB SSD on Amazon for about 100 euro.
