Looking for a portable P.C. type device?

I ordered this on Monday and it is being delivered today. Shipped from The Netherlands. Serious service.

sound. I wont say I’m a complete luddite when it comes to spec on computers, but all the processors and cores and shit I dont know (nor care I suppose) but what will that one do better than the Dell one above or is it more a reliable brand and build (with the Dell being flimsy by reports)?

Looks more robust than the Dell.

I’ve bought a few refurbs from them over the years.

sound. I have prime too, so when I went to buy, it actually only cost £582 (€660), so £120 off again on the price. Or maybe its coz I have my VAT number registered with Amazon. Either way, a nice little chunk of money off which is great!

ah sure that is for fuck all

yeah I’m not sure if it is a prime discount or what, but throwing that saving into the mix makes it a no brainer. Arriving Tuesday. Then the fun starts with all the software and files and shit. 6 years since I did it on this laptop, its lasted well.

Is there a downside to these 2 in 1 machines im not thinking of? 650 for 8gb of ram and i5 processor seems a great price

It won’t really be used as a 2 in 1 by me anyway. I looked at a few reviews and most seem to be positive

How many USB ports has it?

I’ve never used a tablet on a non Phone/Tablet OS. I can’t imagine windows is any fun on a tablet/touch screen

Well you werent much fucking help picking out something else

Actually, it was this one that I got

Ports / Slots

  • 2 x USB 3.1 (Gen 1)
  • USB-C (Gen 1 with PD)
  • HDMI 1.4b
  • 4-in-1 card reader (SD, SDHC, SDXC, MMC)

Yeah not sure how much I’ll use the tablet function but might find it handy

i got this one on the dell outlet back in february for 850 incl VAT

The last one I got was from Dell and the battery life is beyond brutal. An hour of browsing TFK would drain it a good bit.

I’m not a PC fan @Gman after a decade of primarily using macs but the laptop I got from work is doing the finest and I’m happy out with it. It’s a Lenovo E595.
Now it’s not got the storage you want or screen size (15.6) but some of the IT nerds at work have rated it better than the Dell machines others got. I didn’t really know anything about Lenovo before I got it.
