Madeline McCann Thread

Iv been there a few times as well. Its a sleepy enough spot. Not defending them in the slightest because it was a mental thing to do leaving them on their own, but it wasnt like it was main st Albuifeira. There wasn’t a screed of nightlife there to speak of and I wouldn’t have felt like there was any dodgy fuckers there really

I’m delving into the case now and they were dining only 180 feet from their apartment apparently.

Suggesting it because she refused to let the kids be drug tested and she’s an anaesthetist

So all anaesthetist drug their kids?

Well as a parent it would definitely be a lead you would like to run down in an investigation if one of the kids was abductee

Ah three little ones on their own, and they after waking alone and crying the night before. Was harsh and selfish enough tbh.
Awful thing, really awful all round.

I don’t believe any mum would let their young kids be drug tested and it’s quite possible she was advised not to by solicitors. I doubt they were thinking clearly regardless.

Ah yeah it was madness

Madness. You don’t leave kids that age on their own.FFS a multitude of things could happen.A fuckin crazy decision that’s ruined many lives. And all for the sake of a few drinks.

Every thing is placed in the context of her child being taken too. I’d imagine she didn’t want anybody going near her other kids. Nobody knows how they’d react in her situation imo.

Why? Especially when it could help the investigation.

Holiday head is a strange thing though. You can see why they felt it was safe. Just can’t quite figure why they didn’t get a babysitter

Nah boy…if your kid was abducted and the police suggested that this was something should be done I dont see why you wouldn’t consent. Its not like you would need to let them out of your sight for it

There was massive distrust early days between the police and the family.

Either way I’d imagine her mental health crumbled and wasn’t thinking straight. By asking to drugs test the twins you were basically accusing her of drugging them.

And if you were completely satisfied with your actions why wouldn’t you let the cops prove it for you?

I think its quite possible the kids were given a helping hand to sleep but also quite likely the parents had nowt to do with the abduction

Well no, I’d imagine its very common in cases like this to drug test the kids to see if the abductor sedated the other children in the room while kidnapping the child

It’s perfectly normal for police to suspect parents in the death or disappearance of a child.

Yes but I think the entrance to the apartment was further away. Like if the apartment was pool facing they were only 180 feet from the terrace or balcony but to get into it they had to walk around the back of the building so couldn’t see the door of their apartment

They’re terrible parents but if you look at the reaction of the British public, it seems like it’s a common enough thing to do there and all the Brits are terrible parents. I think they killed their daughter but I still feel sorry for them because it’s a terrible thing to accidentally kill your kid and then spend the rest of your life lying about it.

There’s a pub right beside my apartment. Imagine if I’d a couple of babies sleeping here one night and I said “fuck this, I’m going to the pub”. Thankfully I dont have any kids* is the only reason that doesn’t happen.

(* no kids in Ireland)
