I think the plan is to throw the remaining league games, beat Barcelona and then deliberately put out a scratch team in the European Cup final against Tottenham - with 6th placed Chelsea having already won the Europa League, that way 5th placed Tottenham would bump fourth placed Manchester United out of the Champions League next season - by throwing the European Cup final so Manchester United didnât qualify for next seasonâs competition, weâd have totally showed Manchester United once and for all and Liverpool supporters could have a great summer - certainly much better than if we actually win the European Cup
