Manchester United 2022/23 - The Reign of ETH

No, they’ve outspent all EPL teams bar Chelsea.

Kindly do some research in future.

Man Utd are about to spend €100 million on Anthony though so that will push the net spend around the €250 million mark which @ChairmanDan suggested. I don’t think Forest will go and splash another €100 million before the close of the window.

Indeed, but that deal has not been finalised so included it would make fools of us all.

As it stands two EPL clubs have outspent Utd, Barcelona also.

Sure he was using pounds Sterling himself in that screenshot above. It’s fine to use when it can dilute Yanited’s spending slightly.

It’ll be nearly half a billion euro when you fire in De Jong and the currency conversion from the very strong Queen’s pound to the paltry euro.

They’ve set the Casemiro clan up for about the next 5 generations. They’ll be wealthy millionaires who attend fee paying schools in whatever locality they wish.

United are ahead of the game paying players money. All other clubs pay them in vouchers, bottle tops and buttons.

That seems a farcical price for Anto but you can’t take it with you I suppose. They’re hardly going to buy shares or property with it.

He’s a strange fish. He came on giving it big licks about how Man U were lashing out £100 million on this Anthony chap from the Dutch league and bemoaning the fact that he was the only one on here talking about it.

When it was remarked that would take their spending past the quarter billion mark, he’s suddenly putting in the poor mouth, chiding users for the use of Sterling and in the same breath puts up a screenshot of transfer spend in sterling denomination.

meanwhile his local club are looking for community backing for a new stadium & he ignores it

And in fairness to Manchester United, they can well afford it. It’s perfectly within FFP because they’re a successful business. Their supporters seem to be embarrassed with their expenditure, and at the same time are calling for the heads of their owners. Strange.

Money is no object. They’ve double the wages of your man Casemiro from what he was earning with Real Madrid when he was winning 5 European Cups.
