What were Cruyff or zidanes last seasons like? Even lesser players but still club greats like dalglish, Barnes, Robson, totti etc. Nobody remembers really they only remember the greatness. I presume it’ll be the same with Ronaldo. A lot of times fellas move on to slightly lower clubs but he can’t do that either.
The reason he was great is because he was a mad cunt and it’s also the reason he can’t bow out gracefully.

Henrik Larsson is a great example. After 242 goals and excelling for 7 years at Celtic (at a level Roy Keane couldn’t handle), he was starting to find it difficult so took the step down to Barcelona and won them a Champions League. He even rocked up at Manchester United later on his farewell tour and impressed, and then went and played back in Sweden for a while before retiring.
