Manchester United 2022/23 - The Reign of ETH

Liverpool will rape them, it will be interesting to see how this plays out

Nuno got 10 matches at Spurs last season before there was a concession that Director of Football Paratici had made a mistake appointing him. Fired before October was even out, less than 3 months after appointment. Will Ten Hag even last that long?

This Elanga laddie was supposed to be the divil and all last season.

I had to watch that twice because I couldnt actually believe he did that.

How in the name of God are you supposed to win anything with that? Those cunts need a real nasty, ruthless and vindictive bastard over them. They are so weak mentally its just shocking.
Id be strongly tempted to give Keane a go in the near future. That won’t happen when you know who is still around. It might when hes gone.

Interesting read. Knowing v little about it the conclusion id draw from it is the complaint about the glaziers stripping the club is a massive red herring for on field performance. Spending as much as anyone on transfers and wages

It’s all about the culture of the group. When you have prize cunts like Pogba and indulge thrm you are going nowhere.

Agreed. Club is paying its way… If glaziers wernt taking out the money is the answer throw more transfer fees at the problem without fixing the root cause… They have made a cunt of the team nó doubt but its not becuase they are taking the cash out as far as I can see

The lads employed by the Glazers are good at generating money. If Woodward brings in £100m pa through sponsors and the Glazers take £10m of that, leaving £90 to invest in the team, it’s preferable to Gary Neville bringing in £50m and investing it all in the team.

This seems suspiciously like an argument that all the money coming into the club is the same doesn’t matter where it came from? Oh fuck. You’ve only gone and taken away all the net spend trophies… You’ve halved Klopp’s trophies. You’ll need all your redmen mates to help you suck that post back in…

No it doesn’t. It’s an argument that the commercial acumen of the owners has papered over the lack of onfield success. The suits at MUFC have leveraged the brand to earn the money for the various managers to waste. Net spend legend Klopp generates his own money by deep Champions League runs.

The Glazers can’t be faulted in how they’ve backed the Red Devils.

United have recorded an eye-watering ÂŁ903m net spend during the past 10 seasons - spending ÂŁ1.3 billion and recouping ÂŁ395m from player sales, according to a new study published by the Football Observatory.

In terms of net expenditure, United have outspent fellow powerhouse clubs Manchester City (£826.6m), Paris Saint-Germain (£790.4m) and Barcelona(£546m) - all of whom have won five or more league titles during that period, compared with United’s sole title in 2012/13.

I didn’t hear the spoiled fans clamouring for them to fix the roof or upgrade the training ground. It was Ronaldo this, Zlatan that, Pogback…etc

The only fault that can possibly be attributed to the Glazers is on the football side of things in recent years in that they haven’t employed very smart or passionate Man U people to take care of things. Maybe they should appoint personnel that eat, drink and sleep Man U to run the football side of things, people like Gary Neville, Roy Keane, @croppy_boy amd @Juhniallio.

A fairly damning indictment of Serie A big boys here given the lack of Champions League success. Pity @Nembo_Kid isn’t here to discuss
