I was about to ask the same question, he supposed to be very good when PSG signed him but he only played 25 games, was he injured?
Mendes will want another pay day in 3 years. Real Madrid will let the Red Devils develop him.
The Red Devils have a potentially great signing and if he develops they will get a hefty transfer fee and profit.
The fact remains though that until they get a decent manager then the Red Devils wont be a threat to the Big Three of Liverpool, City and Arsenal.
In all honesty it does seem like good business by United this summer
