And how was he a bargain?
Because he won United a league. Also had a fantastic scoring record in his 3 years at the club.

That doesnāt make him a bargain. It just means he done his job. Well done on distancing yourself from your original post on this matter by the way, wise move.
Also, what was his scoring record broken down for each season, just out of curiousity?
Iām not distancing myself from anything. United spent a lot better under Fergie and anybody that argues that they are not spending crazy money now is a tit. Money spent is justified by trophies in reality and nothing else at clubs like United.

Listen, Utd are a special club and do things a special way, un-like the other clubs in world football. They are the only romantics left in the game and how dare you challenge that notion.

Oh no oneās arguing theyāre not spending crazy money now, donāt you worry about that! Its only being pointed out that they like everyone else splashed the cash when they felt like it and thinking otherwise is idiotic.
A fall of over 50% from his first season to his two previous seasons. Interesting. How much are they getting for him again?

The United way.

Iām not saying that United definitely get an easy pass it comes to youth to development etc. Very little romance left in any football club.
Net spend will appear in a minuteā¦

We can blame Moyes for that fall.

It can. It has nothing to do with the point being discussed, but it can.

Precisely. Every club buys big, fucking hell United spent 4.4M on Taibi back in the day when that was big money. Keanes transfer fee was big money. Rioās was astronomical. Its how football is, its how it will always be. The blindness is amusing, almost shan like (sorry shan).
No one argues United didnāt waste money but United champions league winning starting 11 in 09 cost in transfers about a third of what Van Gaal and Moyes spent in the last two seasons.
We can blame Moyes for that fall.

Itās Chelseaās fault. Bastards killed football.

Was he not injury prone prior to buying him?

Thats neither Van Gaal nor Moyesā fault. . United fans were giving out 2 seasons ago that the Glazers wouldnāt spend money, now theyāre giving out that they are spending money. You couldnt make it up.

I never gave out about not spending money though during that period.
