Manchester United Football Club 20/21

Their impact on increasing income Is completely overstated.

Pretty much all the clubs of similar stature to man united increased similarly.

A lot their sponsorship deals are based solely on qualifying for the champions league too which is a dodgy way to be when in such debt.

The value of investments can go up and can go down

They own the club. They’re allowed bleed it for all it’s worth. Nothing illegal in it unfortunately.

It was said the other day they have spent ÂŁ850 million on interest servicing the debt . Jesus

Yep it’s true I guess.

Remarkable man United are still competitive under their stewardship.

They still spend more money than the vast majority of their rivals .

It isn’t really a mystery at all

Its Fergusons fault.

Liverpool’s owners are also capitalist pig dogs but at least they are trying to run the club fiscally prudent.

Fuck off you steamer

It was some trick they pulled. Borrowed to purchase and moved the debt on to the club. They can’t lose.

Capitalism doesn’t alway give you what you want

They can lose alright. If man united finish outside the top four the value of the club falls apart and the sponsorship deals disappear.

They’ll still drive a car, smoke a cigar, and take their family on a cruise though.

Well yes but they can definitely lose on the investment.

They haven’t invested. They borrowed to purchase the club but they don’t have to repay the debt, the club do.

The own around 75 percent of the shares.

it was leveraged debt - they borrowed around 250 million of 660 million. They have invested heavily, now if the sums they are reportedly taking out in dividends are true, then they’ve recovered that already and are milking the tits for all they’re worth at this stage
