You couldnāt make it up
My mother is going back through some family records. Looks like her father was born there and spent the first few years of his life there before the family moved up towards the North.
Thanks CCHA.
I donāt know him well enough to judge, would his character traits be typical of a local of that fine part of the world?
Inbred and willing to fight himself? No Mac is grand. Tis a pity tipp didnāt stretch a bit further down into pallasgreen and cappamore.
It sounds like Iāve Limerick, Cork, Monaghan and Armagh blood in me. The fact Iām someway normal with that mix is a minor miracle in itself
Nicest part of Limerick up around there
What do you know about the 1798 battle thatās commemerated on the plaque at the bridge ?
Nothing. Ask choco.
@ChocolateMice
The United Irish Men v The North Cork Militia.
I could have told you that
Hoi!!
Thereās no way you are a Pallas man!
Why did you ask me so?
Just took a walk there at lunch time, down by the Locke, up by St Marys Cathedral and up Nicholas St to the castle.
There is serious potential in that route. Itās pity Nicholas St is half abandoned. I met a steady flow of tourists. Surely there is potential for a few seasonal businesses to go in there?
@ChocolateMice
Is this place open?
is that down across from the Cauldron?
It is ya
Think that used to be The Rock. Is Stix still open?
