We used to go to stix a good bit while killing time to get the 5:30pm bus out of town on a Saturday. Great to kill an hour or two and you would feel like a right tough nut walking through Nicholas street as a group of unsupervised 14/15 year olds.
Good thing none of the locals youths never started on us or we might have shit our pants

Fuckit Iām having a right giggle here, is it aromat? I worked with a salt of the earth Limerick lad about ten years ago and he never shut up about stixx and the special seasoning they put on the chips, itās well out of my way so I never had anything from there, brilliant that it was aromat.
Another place Iāve never had anything from is stuffins on Mulgrrave street, whatās that like?
Interesting, when did curry become a staple on chippers menus, in Cork it was always mushy peas, first curry chips I can recall would have been late 80s
