I am going on a session around town tomorrow, I will report back on the various haunts. *
I need to categorically state this is not a 12 pubs of Christmas type event. Itās just an annual drinking session with the college crowd that we have undertaken every year since 2005.
It wasnāt much of a contest so it became boring fairly quickly. Vastly improved from the dross I watched this time last year though. Sweetnam is a nice player, and at least your man at 10 can kick it.
One aspect of Rugby continues to baffle me and that is the amount of times Munster kicked the ball back to Leicester, for no real reason at all. Box kick Murray is ridiculously predictable, you can tell about 10 seconds before he does it that a box kick is coming. Munster were carving them apart when they ran at them, but they seemed content to kick it away on the, at best, 50/50 chance that someone could get after it in time, and win it back, for a gain of maybe 20 metres. They got away with it against Leicester who were completely disinterested, but surely any decent side would combat it fairly simply.
Iād say they would have done a lot less of it Iād it hadnāt been working. they were competitive for most of them. Itās annoying tactic alright Iām not a fan. It works though, probably the second most important skill for a scrum half now
