New sports bar where Findlaterâs was?
Ya supposedly, they are still fitting it out.
Will be called Hunters. A hard enough concept to make work here I think.
Thereâs no where in Limerick you know a match whatever sport will definitely be on. Youâd often go in to watch a Gah match and the soccer would be on everywhere, or rugby
Youâd want to be like the Woolshed, 20 TVs showing every sort of shit. 5 Canadians watching Ice Hockey in one corner, while the three lads in the Limerick Sheffield Wednesday supporters club are in the other corner. The Gawdtelpus types like @Thomas_Brady and the lads in their Patriots gear then as well
Is all of Findlaters gone?
Thatâd be a pity, the restaurant was very nice
I think thereâs a market for it. Who doesnât want to watch NRL highlights or Moto GP practice from Indonesia on a Friday morning over a pint of questionable lager? More of a market than a gaming / arcade bar anyways⌠Speaking of, did that place ever manage to open?
The Limerick crowd are very bad to support anything like this
How is the video game pub going
Limerick is very clannish and parochial.
Limerick is Irelandâs sporting capital
Every bar is a sports bar
We fear change.
Down with this sort of thing.
Like any pub that opens in limerick, the crowd they let in on the first night will determine its fate
Weâll never entice @peddlerscross and @endakenny back to Limerick to watch club hurling with this defeatist talk.
Ah they will, because no matter how bad it gets in town, tipperary will always be worse
Itâs flying it. They do food as well and itâs not bad. I think itâs the food as much as anything, but itâs a grand place for a night
I didnât even think it was open. Great to see. They had a fair bit of trouble trying to get going iirc. Getting the food right in places like that is key, the burgers and taco fries will be bigger draws than the beer.
Theyâre going better than expected considering the location.
I presume this new place will also be called Flannerys?
