They chose the 300th anniversary of the signing of a treaty that was broken before the ink was dry on it. It was very well lampooned by Gerry Stembridge on Scrap Saturday. There was a big festival the weekend of the World Cup final that year. It pissed rain and there was a ball of fellas stabbed. etc.
We were driving out home after it and the model Treaty Stone on the truck ahead of us made of styrofoam flew off the back, on and over the back our car. Good times
