Matters Regarding Limerick 🏙️

The missus is from Wicklow town and they had the turning on of the lights today and the town was rammed. Did they fuck spend 100k on it and sure who gives a fuck. People are always just looking for something to do with the kids.

Don’t want anyone floating about

It’s a two fingers from the council or whoever is supposed to organise this shit to the people of Limerick.

Tubridy’s uncle owned a hotel too in Limerick, Hanratty’s. Crashed a car and died driving back to Dublin after work one night.

Aren’t Cork also not bothering with the light switching on this year?

Govt approval sought for Adare bypass ahead of Ryder Cup

Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan will look for Government approval today to deliver the Adare bypass road in time for the Ryder Cup in 2027.

The minister will tell the Government that accelerating the construction of the route will transform the quality of life for people living and working in the historic town of Adare.

He will say that it will mean less congestion, less noise, better air and safer roads to walk or cycle and more green spaces, in line with the Government’s Town Centre First vision.

Advancing the project will also mean that the bypass will be ready for the Ryder Cup, which will be held at Adare Manor in September 2027.

The road will help assist traffic management over what is expected to be an extremely busy period for the town and the region.

The bypass is one element of the Limerick to Foynes Project, which is a 33km road connecting Limerick to the port of Foynes.

Bit optimistic to have that ready in three and a half years?

It’s against government policy.

I seem to recall there was a major rush to get the Naas Road done in time for the Ryder Cup at the K Club.

Dragged their heels on it for 6 years and then rush to try and build it in two.

Need to scale back ambitions. Emma O’Driscoll, Roisin Upton and wan of Celia Holman Lee’s models

They are only planning on having the Adare side of it done. They’d want to get moving though. Talking about it for yonks

Ryan’s bypasses will ‘breathe life’ into towns, but they’re taking a toll on motorway plans | Independent.ie

They were already moaning about being the first town ever to be bypassed twice
