Reducing the width of the road corridor from 500 metres to 200 metres is one of the proposals put forward,
Half a kilometre width as per original plans seems excessive to my unlearned mind? What would be the need for such width given a lane is only about 5m wide?
Surely the newly submitted 200m is enough for 4-6 lanes?

Wonder was it case of lashing it in excessively high in the hope/expectation it gotten beaten down to width they were hoping for? Ask for more than the necessary to end up with the needed
Its typically what happens as the design evolves. The 500m corridor is usually the width at preliminary route selection phase. Now that they have moved on with the preferred route they can start to fine tune. No idea what stage this is at but youd imagine they will only now crack on with the detailed design.

In fairness to da Leader they have it in quotation marks to indicate they are repeating what the council are telling them. I think its the council where the issue lies
You’d love to get excited about these things. But when the fucking thing won’t be built for 40 years and will end up a four story glass box tis hard. A housing crisis and the city sitting on massive landbanks.
I see the ardhu apartments are going into circulation, hopefully help take some of the steam out of the market
