The Frogs
Katie Hannon coming across as a right dose. Like she wants this over ASAP. Let these nutters speak ffs.
Daly is what Limerick needs. Dee Ryan is what Limerick will get and itāll be more of the same and the first thing sheāll do is roll out a Limerick 2050 campaign
Frankie will win this election.
Aontu lady will beat half the first group I reckon
The lunatics have taken over the asylum. This is some group weāve put forward
Thatās Limerick city.
There is a bigger vote outside the city but no proper county candidate running. Such a runner could have hoovered up the 1st preferences, particularly with a gaa angle.
Daly, Daly, Daly
Any candidate that runs on fixing overcrowding in UHL will get my vote. Ban tipp and clare people firstly from the hospital them from crossing the border.
Actually rebuild the ancient walls while they are at it
Any time anyone mentioned the hospital, Hannon immediately shouted them down.
FRANKIE DALY, FRANKIE DALY, FRANKIE DALYš
Mayor has no say whatsoever in UHL though. They have zero power/responsibility for it. I have no idea why so many candidates tonight spoke about it. Itās just not part of their portfolio.
Ultimately the failings in UHL will only be corrected by a change in government policy, and hospital management standing up to the consultants who currently run it with impunity.
Think Dee Ryan and Brian Leddin were probably the winners tonight. Ryan probably needed to flesh out her policies a bit more, while Leddin wouldnāt answer the questions on northern distributor road or one-off housing, both of which he clearly isnāt a fan. John Moran has a lot between the ears, but him being not much of a āpeople personā probably isnāt helping him. Thought the AontĆŗ lady Beasley came across well, seems fairly clued in, but not enough charisma.
If Frankie was even 20% more polished/composed then he would win this contest pulling up. Heās the most sincere of the lot but unfortunately for him, he too often opens his mouth before engaging his brain. The PBP lad Ruari thinks free public transport in the city would workā¦ā¦.but like all socialists doesnāt seem to realise Johnny taxpayer will have to fund it. Helen OāDonnell gave off fierce āNorth Circular Roadā vibes, but didnāt say much of substance.
It seemed three quarters of the debate was taken up with housing. There was relatively little discussion around revitalising the city centre, which for me is the biggest challenge facing the incoming mayor.
Ffs
Heās not helping himself if thatās not clear because I thought he was only brought into dept of finance when all the damage was done and Noonan brought him in as part of the recovery planning?
I thought it was a serious contest with an important job at stake?
Lads treating it like COTY
I didnāt see it but Iām glad that Leddin did well, a green mayor would be class
Top notch Photoshopping from #TeamFrankie
I donāt think Leddin has any chance at all. His nemesis Elisa will possibly do better than him. There seems to be a serious smear campaign against him, especially by a social media account called āLimerick Against Facismā.
