Matters Regarding Limerick 🏙️

Sweet jesus the trailer.

About the same level as the Young Offenders

Is he going to come out and say he was in character all along as a politician?

A shameless carpetbagging bastard.

Don isn’t the worst of them at all. Wish he would stick to the rubby though but his heart is in the right place. Has come a long way since selling ads on the Limerick Post.

I assume its Tom you are talking about. Utterly useless politician. On a personal level, I know nothing of him but as a politician, useless.

What’s he like?

And does he post here?

Mental. But in a funny way. He had a radio show on some local station at one stage and it was unintentionally hilarious

Character. Had pirate radio station for a while I think out of the back of a religious bookshop up William Street.

Two nephews in my school, one in my class. One of the cleverest fellas ever met but never opportunities he should have got. The other brother, Happy Hannon, stabbed to death by Casey’s in front of a house party of people, none who’d go on record as witnesses.

Gerry mad but there’s he’s no daw; clever guy.

Gerry taking out the trash there, the big fat one in the lime dress behind him shifting uncomfortable but loving it

I was his tutor actually… He drove me demented till I put the heat on him one day. He shut up after that.

RLO radio was unreal back in 2000 and Gerry was the king of the airwaves.

The denim shorts on him strutting around Mary I :rofl:

A lot of RLO people were those involved initially in getting a licence for local radio in Limerick but got disenfranchised when it became more commercialised (eventually 95fm).

Gerry is a brother of another well-known character in Limerick (especially if you ever sold music, as I did), Disco Dom:

They’ve another brother Pat, who seems a thoroughly alright sort. The auld lad used to puck golf balls with him in Royal Rathbane.

I remember doing a student radio show around 99/00, and one of the shows was bringing Gerry on because he had called all students scum (it was just after UL rag week and they had terrorised the place). He was box office. My Nana used to listen to him out in Tipp when she got home from playing cards

I usually defend the Rubber Bandits but that is as funny as diarrhoea.
