Just saw this on Twitter. Some lad found an inter cert English paper from 1945. Essay B is to write an eyewitness account of Patrick Sarsfield and the ambush in Ballyneety. A criminally undervalued part of local history I always felt.

I went through Adare this evening and I see they have started digging out the bypass. It looks like it will come back onto the road the Adare side of the Woodlands roundabout.
Thatās hardly the plan is it? Surely theyāll join to the motorway? Donāt see them having enough land to dual carriageway from there out?
I figured it would come out somewhere beyond the roundabout?
That is the connector road for adare. Bypass running to the north close to the rail line, following natural line of the motorway/dual road.
That makes a lot more sense. So youāll come off the bypass and come in there?
With the traffic not needing to go through Adare anymore it should be alright joining that road I guess
Will be busy though. I think that is the only feeder for Adare
