Ya be hard to get across the road into Adare at busy times. Although it’s hard to know now what traffic is actually needing to go through Adare and what isn’t.
I’ll be glad to never have to go through it again anyway.
Should be one of the few places that does well out of being bypassed I think
Ya I’d imagine the shop in Clarina is sweating. And the one in Kildimo. There might still be logic in the n69 from Askeaton, Kildimo etc with the majority of traffic off the road. Will be interesting to see what happens. You would imagine the M20 will get a whole lot busier.
NCW and Abbeyfeale will be absolutely choked once Adare is bypassed. Both are already starting to get bad now already after 4pm. Neither the TII or the Council seem to cop they’re just kicking the traffic can down the road. Typical fucking Paddy, solves one problem by creating another one. No foresight whatsoever. The N21 is incredibly oversubscribed.
Adare will do very well from the bypass though, it is not only an attraction but a destination, people will always stop there. And will be more likely to do so when it’s no longer a traffic nightmare.
Was out in Brosna at the weekend. The wife is a Google maps disciple. Was directed to exit the M/N20 just past Patrickswell and take back roads all the way out to Mountcollins via Castletown, Kilmeedy, Ashford, Feohenagh. Took nearly 2 hours. All to avoid a 10 minute tailback in Adare. I drove back the main road in 65 minutes
Common sense innit. At least no right turn at the lights, go around the roundabout comeback to go left. Same for the shop go around the roundabout rather cutting across traffic
The right turn at the lights is a disaster both morning and evening. Even a filter arrow would help because you’d often have a situation where no car gets through the lights coming out from town in the evening.
The worst off all is going up that road in raheen and you’ve some cunt turning right with the blinkers on into the centra instead of looping around the round about.
