Genuine question, would the more hardcore nationalists in Sinn Fein recognise Dail Eireann as a legitimate government?
Surely there are members who’d view it as the other head of a partiotinist coin?

having a united ireland dosent mean we need adopt the behaviours of those the shinners believe they want to build a state with - ie loyalists
I know mate, that wasn’t what I was getting at
My point leaned more towards how any bit of nationalism at all is frowned upon by the media and society, seemingly
It has been the MO of the state since FF were brought into the fold in the 30s… Themselves and FG realised anything too nationalist would their fiefdoms … So what we got was 1916 -21, good… Anything after that bad. Legitimizing their own myth as heirs to the kingdom in one breath, and staving off any threat to it with the next.
This was just a continuation of the shopocracy and strong farmer’s mantra that was galvanized through the church by OConnell. Anything truly native has been seen as backwards, barbaric or uncouth for near 200 years now by the ruling class…
He could shit in it. Like yourself.
Fucking hell.
There are 2.1m people in employment in Ireland… 1.2m of them earn below 30k .
There’s a big difference between less than 30k and the minimum wage, pal. We also have been steadily increasing minimum wage as you suggested we should do above (how radical of you) for the last 20 years and now have the second highest minimum wage in Europe. But don’t let the facts get in the way of your pathetic propaganda.
I think the minimum wage is 19k. Maths mustn’t be his strong point.
I’m not…im not arguing against any of that. I responded to a comment made about people being lazy and not willing to work in this country. Those numbers show that there’s a large cohort just about surving and are getting on with it… Calling them lazy because they want some balance and reward for their efforts is straight out of the right wing play book. This imagined mass of spongers, dolers and lazy people is bizarre and a really dangerous mindset… It’s what fuels hate in a society and divides communities.
I said minimum or just above it… Reading clearly isn’t yours.
In a minute these lads will be arguing the direct oppisite to what they argued a minute ago.
The fine Gael modus operandi. Divide the classes as conquer
10k is a lot above it.
Taxing the successful and hard working and handing it to layabout wasters will divide society and communities as well.
Boxtyeater’s eyebrow arches instantly. This is rich even by your standards.
Below 30k doesn’t mean verging on it.
How many layabout wasters are there, have you numbers for these hordes?
