I called it. So it seems she was alive out there for 7-8 days on her own with no food or water, it’s surprising she lasted this long and was only within touching distance really (2km) of the cabin when she finally succumbed to hunger and thirst. Sure the lack of water alone would have done her in with that heat after a number of days so maybe she was drinking from the nearby river and it kept her going a while longer. It’s a really horrific way to go as it was not sudden like a lot of people were guessing. Very tough situation.

Awful way to go… At least they have recovered the body and the family have answers… Right now, that won’t be much solace to the family but they get to say goodbye and grieve… And are not left wondering what happened her for the rest of their lives.
