I’d imagine a lot of the reasons cases are brought back into public view is pressure from the families. So with little else to go on bar a Sony Walkman, what else can they do bar throw a press conference.
It was certainly a story doing the rounds at the time.
Presumably he was awaiting results to have found out this soon? After 25 years they could nearly have waited another day

I thought that was in south Kilkenny,maybe mullinavat someone saw a girl trying to run from car that had two people in the front… the whole story was so tragic…IIRC she went to meet an ex in Bruxelles and planned to stay in hotel with him …then his girlfriend showed up and she had already missed the bus home so went on one as far as Naas I think .she hitched a lift to Moone ,was talking to a mate from the telephone box and said a car had just pulled up for her …never seen again …
I always wondered what the story was with the lad in Dublin but that explains it.
How much had to fall into place for her to be there for a known dirtbag to take advantage …would make you wonder if the girl running from car was a red herring …
Yeah. Her sister seemed adamant that the person responsible was from around the general area where she went missing and she never made it to Waterford.
